Ideal for open fires, log burners, stoves, fire pits and barbecues, these odourless firelighters deliver consistent, reliable performance with no handling of messy fuels. With 25% extra free, you get even better value from the trusted ZIP brand, established in 1936.

Preparation & Usage

For indoor fires, outdoor fires & barbecues

  1. Place one ZIP firelighter among coal, logs, briquettes, charcoal or cinders.

  2. For difficult fuels, use extra firelighters as needed.

  3. Light the corner of the wrapper using long safety matches, avoiding draughts.

  4. Once the firelighter is burning well, carefully add more fuel without smothering the flame.

  5. For barbecues: allow the coals to ash over evenly until glowing (approx. 20 minutes) before cooking.
