The STIHL MS 500i Petrol Chainsaw is a high-torque professional saw designed for fast felling and cutting of large timber.

As the world’s first chainsaw with electronically controlled fuel injection, it delivers explosive acceleration and an outstanding power-to-weight ratio of just 1.24 kg/kW from its 79.2 cm³, 5.0 kW engine.

Sensors constantly measure pressure and temperature so the injection system can optimise fuel delivery and ignition timing for effortless starting and superb running in all conditions.

A STIHL 2-MIX engine keeps emissions and fuel use down, while the advanced anti-vibration system, rounded bumper spikes and plunge guide make long days in big wood more precise and less tiring.

Practical touches such as side chain tensioning, captive nuts on the sprocket cover, tool-free fuel caps and the Ematic oiling system help you work quickly, cleanly and efficiently, with up to 50% less chain-oil consumption.
