The STIHL KMA 80 R KombiMotor is a versatile and easy-to-use battery-powered drive unit, and the first in the STIHL AK System. Designed with home gardeners in mind, it offers a practical balance of power, comfort and flexibility for a wide range of everyday garden maintenance tasks.

Powered by a 36 V lithium-ion battery, the KMA 80 R delivers quiet and efficient performance, making it well suited to use in residential areas where noise levels matter. Despite its user-friendly design, it provides plenty of capability for jobs such as pruning, trimming, mowing, clearing and cutting.

As part of the STIHL KombiSystem, the KMA 80 R is compatible with a wide selection of KombiTools (excluding FSB-KM), allowing you to tackle multiple tasks with one power unit. Changing attachments is quick and straightforward—simply insert the tool into the shaft and secure it firmly in place.

The unit features a loop handle with a quick-mount system, making it easy to adjust for a comfortable working position. This design offers excellent control, particularly when working on slopes, around trees or across uneven ground.

At its core is a brushless EC motor, delivering dependable performance with minimal maintenance. The control handle includes two speed settings: an ECO mode for lighter work such as edging, helping to extend battery life, and a full power mode for more demanding tasks like clearing. Depending on the attachment, speed can also be finely adjusted for greater control.

Compatible with all STIHL AK System batteries, the KMA 80 R gives you flexibility depending on your needs. The AK 30 battery provides the longest run times, while lighter batteries may be preferred for extended use where comfort is key.

Supplied with a basic harness as standard, the KMA 80 R is a reliable and adaptable choice for keeping your garden in order with one efficient power unit. KombiTools sold separately.
