The STIHL GTA 40 is the first professional-grade cordless pruner in the STIHL range, designed for demanding tree care, landscaping and construction applications. Part of the STIHL AS System, it is powered by two AS 2 lithium-ion batteries working in parallel to deliver outstanding cutting performance. Supplied as a bare unit – batteries and charger sold separately.
Ideal for professional tree and shrub maintenance, horticulture, landscaping, wood processing and canopy work, the GTA 40 offers powerful, precise cutting whether working on the ground or at height.
Fitted with a high-efficiency EC motor and ¼" PM3 saw chain, the GTA 40 delivers clean, accurate cuts with excellent control. The variable chain speed allows you to match cutting performance to the task, while automatic chain lubrication and side-mounted chain tensioning make maintenance quick and straightforward.
Designed with operator comfort in mind, the GTA 40 features a soft rubberised handle, ergonomic upper grip and a claw-shaped deflector that improves control and enhances safety. The dual-sided rocker control makes it comfortable for both left and right-handed users.
An integrated attachment ring allows the pruner to be clipped securely onto a tool belt, and it is fully compatible with the optional STIHL GTA 40 holster for convenient carrying while working.
